Day 1

Leisurely, hearty breakfast at the Santa Lucia Guesthouse on the veranda.

Self drive to Cape Vidal through the iSimangaliso Park – Explore the Eastern Shores

of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park with wonderful game viewing and bird watching, culminating in the magnificent pristine beach at Cape Vidal.  Weather and tides permitting you will be able to snorkel and explore tidal pools filled with all sorts of aquatic treasures. Picnics can be arranged on request.

Return by 14:30 for your Sunset boat cruise

Sunset boat cruise

This two hour cruise takes you onto the St Lucia Estuary to view local wildlife along the banks of the lake, Hippos, Crocodiles and birds. This tour departs from the town jetty in an eco friendly small boat that will get you so close to the hippos and crocodiles you can almost touch them. This tour also concentrates on the many bird species found at the estuary such as fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, pelicans, and many others.

Day 2

Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Day Elite Safari – A full day excursion pick-up from the guesthouse an hour before sunrise. This tour hosts a maximum number of 6 guests allowing everyone to have a “window seat”for spectacular photographic opportunities.  There will also be extra snacks and a pair of binoculars available for use per couple during the safari.  Besides the Big 5 The park also has cheetah, wild dog, a large population of giraffe, various antelope species and much more.
Bird sightings may include lesser jacana, lappet-faced vultures, bateleur eagles, white-headed vultures and Southern banded snake eagles to name a few.
The safari includes breakfast with hot tea and coffee, a delicious lunch consisting of a traditional South African Braai/BBQ, plus a refreshing bar service at scenic picnic sites. Return to the Guesthouse will be between 15:00 and 16:00

Day 3

Breakfast at the Santa Lucia Guesthouse on the veranda before your departure.
